Aer Lingus has come a long way since the merger with International Airlines Group. With a shared Avios reward program, you can access OneWorld reward flights through your BA Account.

Register with Avios.com and you'll discover loads more ways to maximise your earnings.

Bank of Ireland now has an AerClub Rewards card that earns you points on every purchase (although it is limited) but its a start.

Overall, there's very few reward programs in Ireland so for as much as this program has, its very good although there's plenty of room for improvement.

Using Avios to upgrade to business is a bit of a messy process but will hopefully get better in the future.

Currently not a great programme, due to be changed some time this year though.
It's very difficult to build up points, in the past 8 months I've flown maybe 20 times with Aer Lingus and I still have a pittance of points. There are no credit card partners either nor can you use flights with partners to build up points if you're still in the applicant stage.
Their website is considerably poorer than competitors as well.
